What is BWB?
Burners Without Borders (BWB) is a grassroots, volunteer-driven, community leadership program whose goal is to unlock the creativity of local communities to solve problems that bring about meaningful change. BWB supports volunteers from around the world in innovative civic solutions and community resiliency projects. The BWB community is known for the unbridled creativity they bring to every project they do.

BWB was founded following the 2005 Burning Man event, when several participants headed south into the Hurricane Katrina disaster area to help people rebuild. Over eight months, BWB volunteers gifted more than $1 million dollars worth of reconstruction and debris removal services.
Today, BWB is a decentralized network of volunteers, chapters and working groups, partners organizations, and supported projects working towards a more connected, creative, and resilient world. The important thing is to create collaborations and bring as much creativity and fun to our community projects as possible.
